Chromebooks – Hit or Miss?

Well I have had my Chromebook (13″ Toshiba CB30) for a while now and thought it was about time I let you know my thoughts.

Firstly this is a Chromebook not a Windows laptop nor an Apple product. This means a different mind set towards the operating system. We do nearly everything in browsers these days from cloud storage to media so this is not as big a leap in mindset as a couple of years ago.

The build quality is good although not fantastic and Toshiba definitely attempted a take on the Macbook Air – and a good try that it is! Keyboard and touch pad are good enough at this price point and the screen is adequate although not spectacular.

The real winner is Google Drive – it just works and work very well. All the Google Office apps seamlessly integrate and their are very good add ons for each one.  Google+ is in my opinion far and away the best Social Media platform out there and is growing rapidly.
